Australian Dust Control Pty Ltd has designed and installed two separate extraction systems for new metal and woodworking workshops at St Joseph’s Catholic High School in Aberdeen, NSW.
The Catholic Schools Office recently commissioned ADC to design a dust extraction system and a fume extraction system for the woodworking and metal workshop rooms respectively at St Joseph’s School.
The extraction system designed for the woodworking room incorporated an S30 shaker filter complete with a 7.5kw fan located outside the classroom. Acoustic insulation was also added to the filter unit and ductwork to minimise the noise impact in the neighbourhood.
A fume extraction system was also designed and installed for the school’s metal workshop. Featuring a 4kw fan located outside the building, the fume extraction system incorporated a duct silencer installed on the outlet side of the extraction fan to minimise noise. Three articulated arms, each with a radius of two metres were incorporated into the system for the welding benches, allowing great flexibility.
Australian Dust Control specialises in the design and installation of energy efficient, environment-friendly dust and fume extraction systems for schools and various learning institutions.
Several schools that are modernising their metal and woodworking workshops have invested in the latest technology from Australia Dust Control for their dust and fume extraction systems. All systems are compliant with all OHSE regulations and Australian Standards ensuring that students and teachers have access to high levels of protection.
