Australian Dust Control Pty Ltd was commissioned by the Shore School in Sydney to upgrade their woodworking workshop with two new shaker filter dust extraction systems.
Australian Dust Control responds to the need to promote a safe and productive learning environment for students and staff in schools through effective management of dust and fumes using the latest energy-efficient technology in dust and fume extraction available at affordable prices and with flexible design options.
Australian Dust Control was commissioned by Shore School in Sydney to install two new dust extraction systems in their woodworking workshop to ensure a safe and clean work environment for all students and staff. The work carried out by Australian Dust Control replaced the existing, inefficient dust extraction systems.
The shaker filter extraction system installation included a 5.5kW extraction fan for each unit, additional ductwork connections to four woodworking machines, switchboard and electrical connections, and two new floor sweeps.
Floor sweeps are ideal for workshop environments where there is a slow build-up of dust on adjoining benches. At the end of a day’s work, the dust is simply swept into the floor sweep and extracted into the dust extraction system, keeping the workshop clear of dust.
Key benefits of Australian Dust Control’s dust extraction systems:
- Emits low noise making them suitable for school workshop applications
- Affordable and energy-efficient solution ensures significant and ongoing cost savings for schools
- Compliant with all OHSE guidelines and Australian Standards
- Ensures day-to-day safety of students and teachers in school workshops
