Australian Dust Control Pty Ltd  designed and installed an S30 shaker filter extraction system for the new woodworking room at St Clare’s Catholic High school at Taree in the Maitland/Newcastle Diocese.

ADC’s shaker filter system was installed on the exterior of the building with a sound enclosure designed around the 7.5kw fan and duct silencer to minimise noise to the surrounding classrooms and residential buildings in close proximity.

The dust extraction system consisted of two floor sweeps and dust extraction points connected by ductwork to nine woodworking machines including drum sander, linisher, slide saw, panel saw, thicknesser, bandsaw, two disc sanders and router. The extracted waste discharges into two 100-litre drums.

ADC specialises in cost effective and energy efficient dust and fume extraction solutions for high schools, TAFE colleges, universities and other learning institutions.

ADC’s shaker filter system is an economical solution for schools and is compliant with all OHSE regulations and Australian standards ensuring a high level of protection for all students and teachers.
