Australian Dust Control Pty Ltd  specialises in the design and installation of dust and fume extraction systems at various schools.

Several schools have sought fume and dust extraction solutions from Australian Dust Control for their workshops to ensure safety for students and staff by minimising exposure to fumes and dust.

Australian Dust Control was recently commissioned by St Peter’s Catholic College in Tuggerah, NSW to upgrade their dust and fume extraction system in their four newly refurbished metal and woodworking workshop rooms.

Australian Dust Control designed and installed a new fume extraction system connected to nine welding fume benches. The new system consists of a 400mm diameter main duct running along the full length of the room over benches with high temperature rated 150mm diameter flex that connects the main ductwork to new extraction hoods over each bench. The relief clean-air then discharges vertically to the atmosphere.

Australian Dust Control’s custom designed fume extraction system allows each hood to be moved around on the bench to its optimal position.

The new dust extraction system includes a new S40 shaker filter system from Australian Dust Control. Designed to be located outside the workshop room, the shaker filter unit also features a suitable acoustic sound enclosure fitted to the 15kw fan to minimise noise to surrounding buildings.

The replacement dust extraction system included all new ducting for 25 machines across four woodworking rooms.

Australian Dust Control designs complete dust and fume extraction systems for schools, providing an economical, low maintenance and energy efficient solution based on the latest technology in compliance with all OH&S regulations.
