Brand new designs of conveyor belt scrapers have been invented by a German engineer with more than 35 years experience in underground mining. Australian Belt Cleaning
, based in Sydney Australia is the sole importer for Australia and New Zealand for these belt scrapers.
His invention was to extend the life years of conveyor belts up to nine years in underground coal mines. He decided that keeping the belt clean, smooth and damage free saves a lot of time and money.
The unique invention which he came up with was based around diagonal and three dimensional theories. The primary scraper on the front pulley works in three dimensional ways around the pulley below the discharge zone.
By placing assembling kits to the left and right on the outside of the pulley, the scraper is held in place with a tension of sometimes up to 500kp using one, two or maybe even four gas tensioners. The scraper has hardened metal elements vulcanised in flexible rubber. Each element is 5 cm wide and overlaps to the effect of bending a hardened metal edge around a drum.
The biggest advantage is that these scrapers have the same amount of pressure evenly on the pulley. If there is a belt joiner or damage in the belt, the scraper will jump over that and adjust back into it’s usual position.
Almost maintenance free, these scrapers are based on a test and production run in Germany.
