THIRTEEN Australian food companies are showcasing their products in India this month as part of a joint National Food Industry Strategy Ltd (NFIS) / Austrade display at Foodpro 2005.
Foodpro is India’s biennial food processing and food technology trade fair covering the entire value chain from production to the dinner plate.
As part of the mission, NFIS and Austrade have developed a six-day market awareness program for Australian companies interested in understanding the Indian retail market which is estimated to be worth US$135 billion and growing at about 5% per year.
Foodpro and this in-market awareness program are part of a concerted effort to gain entry for Australian product in the rapidly expanding Indian market.
