With the commissioning of an AHS2448 horizontal vibrating screen at CCS Clutha Creek Quarry recently, Aury Australia has now entered the local quarry screening market after receiving wide acceptance in the coal industry.
Located at Tamborine Village, Queensland, the sand quarry is part of the Kennedy Group and one of seven large sand plants and quarries that the Group owns in Southeast Queensland.
The AHS2448 horizontal vibrating screen is the largest in the plant and located at the top of the plant tower.
A vertical manufacturer, Aury Australia also supplied the Weide screening system panels, which were installed on the vibrating screen.
Part of the worldwide Dadi Group, Weide Screening Systems is marketed in Australia through Aury Australia.
According to Mr. Bob Finch, Managing Director of Aury Australia, customer feedback has been positive as the screen’s performance has exceeded expectations.
Being a 24/7 operation, the sand plant demands high availability of the horizontal vibrating screen equipment with very little requirement for maintenance.
The AHS2448 horizontal vibrating screen offers advantages such as improved sand screening, more throughput and better separation of material while reducing load on plant crushers.
