Aurecon has realised 30% network cost savings across multiple Asian locations while significantly increasing bandwidth to its 13 sites in New Zealand.
This was made possible through Reliance Globalcom’s unique Active Negotiation Process (ANP), which enables customers to review the entire network strategy and connectivity on a regular basis throughout the lifetime of the contract.
Real cost benefits are gained from this approach with infrastructure and capacity prices on a general downward cost trend, and new suppliers and technologies constantly becoming available across all the local markets.
The current global agreement between Aurecon and Reliance Globalcom extends to over 90 sites in 15 countries including China, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
Sites in South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia and UAE have also recently been added to Reliance Globalcom’s global managed services for Aurecon.
The centralisation of Internet access and filtering along with a new hosted remote access service provided an opportunity for significant savings for Aurecon’s 13 sites in New Zealand.
Reliance Globalcom’s managed security service controlled the availability and integrity of connectivity to all New Zealand sites, while simultaneously doubling the bandwidth. All of this was achieved at a lower total cost for Aurecon by using different local service network capabilities that had recently become available.
Dawie Kotzé, Global CIO – Aurecon says that they have been able to make material cost savings through a regular review of their requirements combined with Reliance Globalcom’s knowledge of local market developments in all of their locations.
Additionally, easily interchangeable technology options also gave Aurecon the scalability to use the most appropriate of their expertise across all their client projects.
The vibrant nature of Aurecon’s business also created opportunity for Reliance Globalcom to deliver a 30% cost saving across the pan-Asian network, which more accurately matched the requirements of the vast spectrum of projects that Aurecon delivers.
A consultative network review replaced the regional MPLS capability, delivering increased global collaboration and sustainable business growth for both the company and the many communities in which Aurecon operates.
