A new generation of control systems for Tensor electric tools, the Power Focus 4000 offers a full user-interface with an attractive, easy-to-read colour display.
The software includes an integrated Logic Configurator with PLC functions, enabling the user to configure a PLC style signal flow between the line or the fixture and the controller. The need for an interface PLC is practically eliminated.
The Power Focus 4000 has all the functions needed to control Tensor S, ST, DS and ETX electric nutrunners. Available in two versions, graph with colour display, and compact, the Power Focus 4000 can handle all torque levels.
The user decides the level of functionality the Power Focus 4000 will have. With Atlas Copco’s patented Rapid Back-up Unit, RBU, a combined setup back-up unit and functionality key, a hardware/software combination can be tailored to the user’s specific application using a plug and play approach.
The PowerFocus 4000 offers SynchroTork, allowing continuous synchronisation of up to six spindles during final tightening. It is also possible to apply a Yield Control strategy. The fixtured tool can be programmed to shut off where each individual bolt yields, and not based on a firm torque or angle value.
Both hardware versions can be pre-programmed using ToolsTalk PF. Atlas Copco’s new, upgraded ToolsTalk PF software with improved graphics is now more intuitive.
Using a PC as the interface, it is a simple matter to connect Quality Integrated Fastening (QIF) accessories, such as Stacklight, OperatorPanel, Socket Selector and I/O Expander. All accessories are linked to the controller via a single cable using the built-in I/O bus.
The Power Focus 4000 is equipped with a handy USB connector for laptop access, located on the front of the unit for maximum accessibility.
