Supplier News

Leading Australian mobile brand Aspera Mobile has launched a new and affordable line of rugged mobile devices designed for the harsh Australian environment. Scholastic Australia is the exclusive Master Distributor for the new mobile range.

The new range of Aspera mobile devices offers a choice of six models, all rated IP67 for high level protection against the effects of non-corrosive liquids and dust. Designed and built for durability, the Aspera range is resilient against drops and hard knocks in the workplace as well as in the field.

The rugged mobile devices range consists of two Android smartphones, two feature phones, a 3G Android tablet and a battery power pack.

All four mobile devices offer Dual SIM card capability with the feature providing users with more options such as simultaneous connection to two mobile networks, the ability to separate and manage personal and business usage, and a great solution for international travel where the user can carry both the foreign SIM card and Australian SIM card in one phone.

Aspera’s new range offers solutions for any business or individual user seeking a device that can stand up to harsh treatment.

Allan Robertson, CEO of Aspera Mobile explains that the new range of ruggedised devices has been introduced in response to a real need in the market to provide smart mobile and tablet devices that would be durable enough to withstand harsh Australian conditions and tough workplace environments, yet be inexpensive enough for large organisations to equip their workforce.

Aimed at Industry, Construction, Transport, Trades and Outdoor & Active market segments, the Aspera mobile devices and tablet come in high-visibility yellow on black colours allowing for easy identification in any environment. Body joins reinforced with screws, protective seals over charging port, speaker and earphone jack, toughened scratch resistant glass and rugged outer body for shock absorption are some of the unique design features.

All Aspera devices have a minimum IP67 rating against the effects of non-corrosive liquids and dust particles, making them tough enough to perform in Australia’s unique and diverse terrain.
