NATIONAL Semiconductor, represented in Australia by Arrow Electronics , has released the LMH6574 4:1 video multiplexing (MUX) amplifier and the LMH6572 dual-supply, triple 2:1 RGB (red, green, blue) MUX amplifier.

Applications include video, security systems, HDTV, NTSC and PAL video systems and analogue video routers and switchers. The LMH6574 is a single, buffered 4:1 video MUX amplifier. It achieves 400MHz-3dB bandwidth (2Vpp) and 150MHz 0.1 dB gain flatness to support switching of high video resolutions.

It has an 8ns switching time and provides 85dB of channel-to-channel isolation for reduced interference from other channels. Benefits include a clearer picture and less shadowing effects and artifacts.

The LMH6572 is a buffered, triple 2:1 RGB MUX amplifier. It achieves 300MHz-3dB bandwidth (2 Vpp) and 60MHz 0.1dB gain flatness, which supports RGB switching of high video resolutions. It also has a 10ns switching time and provides 90dB channel-to-channel isolation.

Both amplifiers are created using the VIP10 process. This is a high-speed, dielectrically isolated, complementary BiCMOS process that uses deep trench technology on a bonded wafer for complete dielectric isolation and high-speed amplifier performance.
