MAXIM Integrated Products, represented by Arrow Electronics , has introduced the MAX3202E-MAX3206E, 2-/3-/4-/6-channel ESD-protection arrays.
These devices feature a low 5pF input capacitance ideal for high-speed USB 2.0, FireWire, and video applications. Packaged in a tiny UCSP, these devices save more than 60% board space over comparable alternatives.
The MAX3202E-MAX3206E protect communications lines up to ±15kV per Human Body Model, ±8kV per IEC 61000-4-2 Contact Discharge, and ±15kV per IEC 61000-4-2 Air-Gap Discharge.
The MAX3202E-MAX3206E operate from a 0.9V to 5.5V single supply and require only 1nA of operating current. The MAX3202E is a 2-channel device for USB 1.1/USB 2.0 transceivers. The MAX3203E has three protection arrays ideal for USB On-the-Go and video applications.
Designed for Ethernet and FireWire, the MAX3204E protects four lines against ESD strikes. The MAX3206E is a 6-channel device intended for cell phone connectors and SVGA video connections.
The MAX3202E---MAX3206E are available in UCSP and thin QFN packages in the extended-industrial (-40°C to +85°C) temperature range.
