MAXIM Integrated Products, represented by Arrow Electronics , has introduced MAX4023-MAX4026 mux amps (video switches plus video amplifier) with 20mV peak-to-peak switching glitch and 25ns channel switching times designed for consumer video products.

The MAX4023/MAX4025 triple/quad 2:1 mux amps are unity-gain stable mux amps with adjustable gain set by external resistors.

The MAX4024/MAX4026 triple/quad 2:1 mux amps are internally set for a fixed gain of 2V/V.

The MAX4023-MAX4026 video ICs are ideal in RGB driver applications and video routing applications where switching between separate video sources is necessary.

Applications include set-top boxes, televisions, video projectors, and in-car navigation/entertainment video circuits.

The MAX4023-MAX4026 operate from a 4.5V to 11V single supply or ±2.25 to ±5.5V dual supply.

They also feature an input common-mode voltage range that extends to the negative rail.

The MAX4023/MAX4025 video amplifiers have a -3dB bandwidth of 260MHz and a 300V/μs slew rate with selectable gain to equalise long cable runs.

The MAX4024/MAX4026 video amps, with a 200MHz -3d bandwidth and a 363V/μs slew rate, have a fixed-gain video buffer of +2V/V for driving short back-terminated video traces or cables.

These video chips feature differential gain and phase errors of 0.012% and 0.05°C, ideal for broadcast video ICs. The MAX4023-MAX4026 consume as little as 19mA of supply current.

These ICs also feature a low-power disable mode which reduces supply current and places the outputs into a high-impedance state, suitable for multiplexer applications to add additional stages without the need for an additional video chip.

The MAX4023-MAX4026 triple/quad 2:1 mux amps are available in a variety of packages including the space-saving 14-pin TSSOP and 16-pin QSOP.

All devices are specified over the extended-temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
