Archimedes Engineering 's belt and bucket elevators are suitable for lifting a variety of bulk materials of up to 35mm screen size, and at temperatures of up to 2,000ºC.
These bucket elevators are designed to be self supporting, requiring lateral support only at 12 to 15m centres.
They can be used in many industries, as they can be supplied with belts in different grades including food, acid resistant and antistatic.
Buckets are generally manufactured from pressed steel or plastic materials, depending on the material to be handled, although stainless steel buckets can be provided where required.
The head pulley is rubber coated for high capacity bucket elevators. This is not necessary for low capacity elevators.
When used for sticky materials, a slatted type return drum is generally used to prevent material from building up on the drum.
Archimedes Engineering's bucket elevators can also be supplied with belt tracking switches, speed sensors and inlet chute overfill indicators.
