Arbor Australia has released Gladius G0710, a rugged, thin and lightweight Mobile PC designed to be used as a portable computing platform in medical, industrial, transport, mobile, and hospitality applications.
Utilising Intel’s new Atom Processor Technology, the Gladius G0710 has multiple connectivity options with built in Bluetooth, WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet. The G0710 is also Next G ready though the use of a PCIe Modem.
Designed to support mobile applications, the Gladius G0710 is fanless and weighs less than 1.4kg (including batteries). Engineered from the ground up to be tough the Gladius G0710 is IP54 rated, and survives repeated transit drops from a height of 1.2m.
Intel’s Atom Processor Technology provides significant power saving without compromising application performance, allowing the Gladius G0710 to run for over 4 hours under battery powered operation.
The front of the Gladius Go710 features a seven inch 1024x600 WGA wide screen LCD with a resistive touch screen, eight programmable function keys, 2 Mega pixel camera and inbuilt speaker.
Inputs to the Gladius G0710 include 1x RS232, 2x USB 2.0 audio out, mic in and a DC power jack. All inputs are housed behind protective rubber boots conforming to the IP54 standard.
Capable of running Windows XP, XP embedded, Windows Vista or Linux operating systems the Gladius G0710 is designed to take either a 1.8 inch 60GB hard drive or 8GB solid state hard drive.
