Arbor Australia has released Gladius G0801 rugged tablet PC, an 8.4” rugged IP54, thin and lightweight Mobile PC designed to be used as a portable computing platform in industrial, transport, mobile, and hospitality applications. Optional features on the G0801 rugged tablet PC include a polarized outdoor readable touch screen, in vehicle charger, in vehicle cradle, desk top cradle, 3-in-1 module with RFID, Credit Card Reader and Barcode Scanner.
Designed to support mobile applications, the Gladius G0801 rugged tablet PC is fanless and weighs less than 1.7kg (including batteries). Engineered from the ground up to be tough the Gladius G0801 rugged tablet PC is IP54 rated, and survives repeated transit drops from a height of 1.2m.
Utilizing AMD’s LX800 processor the G0801 rugged tablet PC provides significant power saving without compromising application performance, allowing the Gladius G0801 rugged tablet PC to run for over 5 hours under battery powered operation. For more demanding applications the G0801 rugged tablet PC has an optional 4 Cell battery pack while the desk top cradle for the G0801 rugged tablet has provision for charging a secondary battery. The G0801 rugged tablet PC battery can be swapped out while the G0801 rugged Tablet PC is in operation.
The front of the Gladius G0801 rugged tablet PC features a 8.4” 800x600 SVGA LCD with a resistive touch screen, eight programmable function keys, 2 Mega pixel camera inbuilt speaker, and Biometric fingerprint scanner for validation and control Inputs to the Gladius G0801 rugged tablet PC all use IP67 rated sealed and locking connectors and include, 1x RS232, 2x USB 2.0 audio out, mic in and a DC power jack. All inputs are housed behind protective rubber boots conforming to the IP54 standard.
Capable of running Windows XP, XP embedded Windows Vista or Linux operating systems the Gladius G0801 rugged tablet PC is designed to take either a 1.8 inch 60GB hard drive or a compact flash solid state hard drive.
