Applied Sorting Technologies currently manufacture four standard models of x-ray food inspection system within their XR-3000 series.

Built right here in Australia against individual customer orders, Applied Sorting Technologies offers buyers a range of brand choices when it comes to components such as drive motors, gear boxes, PLC's, switch gear, and VSD's.

Applied Sorting Technologies can also build special x-ray food inspection machines to suit each individual customer's requirements, meaning they can work with their customer's engineering team to ensure the system fits OH&S requirements and food safety systems.

The XR-3000C s-ray food inspection system is ideal for inspecting large, heavy products with a maximum product width of 400mm and maximum passage height of 320mm. Products such as:

  • 27kg cartons of meat
  • 20kg cartons of cheese
  • bags of milk powder
  • shippers and cases of dairy products, packaged foods, and beverages etc.
The XR-3000J x-ray food inspection system is ideal for inspecting products packed in glass or plastic jars and bottles and metal cans with a maximum widthof 135mm and a maximum passage height of 230mm. Typical applications for this particular x-ray food inspection machine include:
  • sauces
  • pickles and preserves
  • spreads
  • beverages
  • canned meals and fruits; and
  • baby foods.
XR-3000L x-ray food inspection machines are built for the inspection of small light weight packets and sachets of frozen confectionary, potato chips, cake mixes, and powdered beverages. These machines can contain a maximum product width of 300mm and a maximum passage height of 230mm. The XR-3000L x-ray machine is also designed for the inspection of continuous stream loose product on a belt, such as:
  • diced or minced meat
  • poultry
  • seafood; and
  • dried fruits, nuts and grains.
Lastly, the XR-3000P x-ray food inspection system is for inspecting packaged food products with a maximum width of 300mm and a maximum passage height of 230mm, including:
  • snack foods
  • dairy products
  • frozen vegetables
  • prepared meals
  • powdered sauces and beverages; and
  • bakery products etc.
