AVIO (Nippon Avionics), represented in Australia by Applied Infrared Sensing , has released the TVS-200 thermal imaging camera. It is based on high-quality uncooled detector and is capable of producing sharp and clear images of 320 x 240 pixels format in real time.
It comes in a strong aluminium housing, with a traditional flip-out LCD display on the left-hand side. It is smaller and lighter than the TVS-700 and is built primarily for those condition monitoring applications where accuracy and image quality are both important. The camera is controlled by four control buttons on the top and a joystick under the right hand’s thumb. Manual focussing is accomplished by adjusting the lens ring.
The camera software interface looks similar to TVS-700, but with new shortcut buttons on the display for frequently used functions and measurement tools.
Image analysis and report generation software comes from Goratec Technologies offers everything necessary for professional thermography plus an MS Word interface. Report writing can be done much quicker using MS Word templates (which can be modified using a built-in Wizard) and automatic data transfer from analysed images into the report pages. Reports can be easily corrected as all information is linked to the images even after the page is completed.
