The Department of Justice has chosen SORHEA infrared barriers for high security applications on some of their sites. Applied Infrared Sensing is the exclusive distributor of SORHEA’s security products in Australia and New Zealand.

SORHEA infrared barriers are a range of high performing security systems for intrusion detection that create an invisible and impassable wall. Each column can be configured with respect to the location of the site for particular tasks.

SORHEA infrared barriers can be raised up to a height of 5 metres and configured up to 16 beams.

SORHEA’s infrared barriers are used as high security systems for perimeter protection around buildings and sensitive sites such as military installations, nuclear power plants, prisons as well as public spaces including subways and airports.

SORHEA infrared barriers offer several advantages:

  • Synchronisation and multiplexing of all beams to increase detection performance
  • Distinction between human beings and small objects or animals
  • Fog detection
  • Automatic adjustment
