High speed stud welding can be used for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium constructions, and provides a unique and cost effective solution to the traditional chocking method of plate fairing.
That process was not only time consuming and unproductive, but costly in terms of both labour and materials.
The new process of high speed stud welding involves a short stud being welded into the plate deck, which is then used to attach the aluminium bridges which keep the plates firmly in place.
Designed for easy access, the plates can be seam welded quickly and easily between the bridges. Finally, the bridges are removed and can be stored for future use.
Stud welding can also be used in:
- the installation of interior walls, floors and ceilings
- cable hangers
- electric installations
- pipe hanging; and
- insulation pins and speed clips.
