Anritsu has recently announced the release of a DC to 7.5GHz passive probe for evaluating mounted devices with their BERTWave series of high speed optical sampling oscilloscopes.
These high frequency passive oscilloscope probes support BER, Eye and Pulse Pattern Measurement and Analysis.
The process of inspection and troubleshooting of high-speed digital communications equipment and devices mounted on circuit boards requires direct monitoring of the waveforms at the input and output of each device.
Use of this new high frequency passive oscilloscope probe makes it easy to monitor signal levels and waveforms of mounted electronic devices directly, without the need to provide on board coaxial connectors.
Key features of the new high frequency passive oscilloscope probe include:
- wide frequency band: 7.5 GHz
- low input capacitance: <0.5 pF, choice of 10:1 or 20:1
- input impedance: 450 or 950 Ohms
