ANRI Instruments & Controls  is pleased to announce the addition of the new CO2 Cellarwarn to its range of precision gas monitoring equipment. Cellarwarn gas monitors detect carbon dioxide (CO2) in ambient air to safeguard those working in confined spaces.

Carbon dioxide is odourless and colourless and high levels can cause health problems from headaches and fatigue to fatal asphyxiation. To ensure a safe cellar all non-naturally ventilated areas must be monitored to prevent illness occurring, per Australian Standard 5034. Staff must be kept alert and informed as vigilance is a must with this silent killer.

The CO2 Cellarwarn gas monitoring equipment provides a clear indication of ambient CO2 concentration and temperature using non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology to detect CO2 concentration to 50,000ppm.

Up to three remote units can be linked to the gas sensor unit, all of which comprise alarms and LCDs to alert workers. Cellarwarn gas monitoring systems provide visible and audible alarms within the storage area and sentries at up to three entry points to keep staff out of harm’s way.

The gas monitoring equipment will activate an alarm when CO2 levels reach 1.5% and 3% (AS5034 compliant) and automatically activate a relay which could be used to control a ventilation fan. Clear instructive signage is provided.

This low maintenance, low cost, highly dependable gas monitor is specifically designed to detect the presence of CO2 in ambient air, specifically to protect workers in confined spaces. Staff at breweries, cellars, cool rooms, beverage dispensing areas, hotels, fast food outlets and other CO2 storage areas will all benefit from the CO2 Cellarwarn.
