AnglomOil food grade lubricants have been specially formulated to meet food manufacturing's special demands of food safety, reliability, water resistance and temperature tolerance.
Water. There are very strict hygiene requirements in food manufacturing so machinery is constantly being cleaned. A food grade lubricant therefore needs to be able to resist water and strong chemical cleaning agents.
Reliability. Food machinery is complex and expensive so lubricants need to be reliable and protect machinery. There are no second chances in the food industry, food has a short life, an interruption to the manufacturing process can result in spoilage and loss.
Food Safety. It's possible that a lubricant may come into contact with food without the operators knowledge and would be sold into the distribution chain and consumed, lubricant and all. A food grade lubricant must be safe.
Temperature. Freezing and cooking are part of food manufacturing processes so food grade lubricants must be able to work over extremes of temperature.
