Amtex ruggedised dc/dc converters.
Amtex ruggedised dc/dc converters.

POWER supply specialist Amtex Electronics has released a range of dc/dc converters specifically designed to cope with harsh environments.

These products are designed and constructed for applications such as those on rail rolling stock, mining and quarry industry bulk handling equipment, and in dockyard and wharf handling systems.

All Amtex Electronics dc/dc converters are suitable for applications where it is necessary to meet certain immunity, EMC and even shock and vibration standards.

For example, the company's RWY series is a fully potted product with a thermally conductive MIL Spec silicon rubber compound, offering one of the most ruggedised converters on the market.

The unit is a 30-200W single/dual output which is constructed to EN50155 rail standard.

The Amtex BAP Rail series is a 200-500W single output unit also made to EN50155 rail standard.

Amtex Electronics also designs and manufactures rail converters to customer specifications.
