Amtex Electronics has released a new range of medical grade power supplies.
The AML120 120W external power supply is a desktop unit that provides 120 watts in a package measuring 167mm x 65mm x 37mm, with a single output choice of between 12V and 48V DC.
The unit was developed in response to a growing demand for more and more powerful desktop power supplies. This is largely due to the increasingly power-hungry electronic equipment connected to such technology.
Original equipment manufacturers no longer have to rely on weaker, commercially-focused external supplies just to be quick to market.
The unit meets international safety approvals, is CE, C-ticked marked in with 3000V AC isolation and electronic protection features, which are standard.
The medical version, the AMM120, has 4000V AC isolation and EN60601-1, UL60601-1 medical approvals, with a leakage current of only 90 microamps at 110 V AC.
AMM 120 requires no minimum load, and has better than 5% total regulation and an MTBF of 170,000 hours to offer power supply for a variety of OEM projects. This version is available as Class 1 (with earth) or Class 2 (no Earth) AC input options.
