Lead-free BGA sockets meet RoHS directive

To comply with the RoHS Directive and other worldwide initiatives, Advanced Interconnections, represented in Australia by Ampec Technologies , is now offering lead-free solder ball terminal options on select 1mm pitch BGA Sockets.

The sockets are moulded from high-temperature, glass-filled thermoplastic, able to withstand the higher processing temperatures required in lead-free processing up to 276°C. The surface mount sockets feature solder ball terminals made from a Sn/Ag/Cu alloy with a reflow temperature of 218°C.
