AMALGEN Technologies has introduced the Model K1/112 1.2kV isolated power supply from Applied Kilovolts.

Using the standard circuitry from the standard 10W HP range the K1/112 is mainly used to provide X-ray tube grid control up to 1.2kV.

The 50kV isolation with power and control referred to ground potential give the unit wide potential use for beam current control in X-ray and other applications.

Higher isolation voltages and different output voltages are also possible. Options include beam current stabilisation and control when used to drive an extraction grid.

The K1/112 features 24V dc input voltage, 0 to 10V dc control voltage with a 0 to 10V dc voltage monitor. Output voltage is 120V to 1.2kV.

The unit is housed in a robust metal enclosure 280 x 120 x 60mm.

Applied Kilovolts has supplied more than 64,000 high voltage power supplies worldwide. Many of its power supplies have been used in Australian equipment.
