When a wide range of measuring signals need to be galvanically isolated and converted into standard input signals in the range ±20 mV to±200 V and ±0.1 mA to±100 mA there are a variety of tasks required, which translates to a large number of different devices being used.
The Knick VariTrans P 27000 professional universal isolator offers a solution to this problem as its calibrated input and output range switching using DIP switches allow it to be used without complicated re-adjustment. Furthermore, as the switch occurs without expensive and unreliable equipment, these universal isolators can also be easily configured on site.
To make setting the required input and output ranges simple and user friendly, Knick supply a free software tool called VariSoft to support the user. VariSoft shows the user the correct DIP switch position when they enter the required input and output ranges, and it has a print option for documentation.
At just 12.5mm wide, the modular housing of the Knick VariTrans P 27000 features pluggable screw terminals which allow simple and fast assembly, as well as pre-wiring of enclosures. Housings with fixed screw terminals are also available for extremely high mechanical loads.
The housing is very easy to open, making configuration of the input and output ranges simple and providing optimal protection against contact and unintentional adjustment.
