When faced with the potentially expensive task of updating the thirty year old packaging system of a client, Carter Holt Harvey (CCH) Packaging approached Alternative Plastics to be part of the engineering team.
Alternative Plastics' key role in the large scale upgrade was to design and produce engineered plastic components to replace traditional metal parts in the system. This was able to be done in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost, while providing several other benefits for the installation.
CCH Project Coordinator John Roberts notes that "these benefits include increased productivity and functionality, reduced maintenance and operational costs and a processing and packaging solution at a fraction of the cost of a new one."
Further plastics innovations contributed to the machine's safety, visibility and branding features.
