The Machinery Health Manager, Emerson’s industry-leading condition monitoring software is exclusively available from Alstom MSc
The earlier version, Machinery Health Manager V5.42 was an interim release primarily designed for supporting 64-bit systems. Since early this year, the technical team at Alstom MSc has been beta testing MHM V5.5 before being mass released to all MHM users under support.
The latest MHM version of Emerson’s condition monitoring software brings several new features, most of which are driven by customer feedback, and include functionality requested by Australasian users.
When carrying out multichannel vibration analysis work on turbo machinery, one of the main challenges is to understand how the rotor is moving, which usually involves looking at orbits, shaft centreline plots and phase information at each bearing and assembling this information into a mental picture of the shaft’s behaviour.
In MHM 5.42, the new shaft animation tool makes it so much easier to get the maximum information from the data. The tool helps create a 3D model of the shaft and bearings with the animation function showing the movement of the shaft and its position in each bearing.
Fast and simple to use, the shaft animation tool gives a great indication of the machine’s behaviour.
