Allweld Industrial Ladders have released a safety gate for their folding platform ladder range. The safety gate fits new and existing folding platform ladders maximizing safety in the work place. The safety gate fully encloses the operator whilst on the platform satisfying work places with red hot OHW&S. The Allweld folding platform ladder folds up for transport even with the Safety gate fitted which makes life easier for contractors visiting work sites.
Allweld’s folding platform ladders are Aussie built, and built to last. All components are high grade aluminium and ladders are designed in accordance to AS/NZS 1892.1:1996 pt1. Ladders are fully welded to AS/NZS 1665:2004. The platforms are huge, 700mm x 400mm and fabricated from chequer-plate.
Each ladders is load rated to 150kg, have wide non-slip steps, and a full length grab rail up each side. Optional spring loaded castors are available on the two, three, four, five and six step models. A lever castor system operates the seven and eight step platform ladders. The lever system gives far greater stability than spring loaded castors on the larger seven and eight step units. The lever system is also available for the six step platforms on request. The lever castor system is simply operated by the operators' foot but still allows the platform ladder to be folded for storage. Options available for all folding platform ladders include safety gates, handrails, wall brackets (for ladder stowage), and clip on loading trays.
