Allplastics Engineering has added a range of coloured mirror sheets to their expanding list of products.
Although coloured acrylic was available in Australia in the 1970's, in the last few decades it has only been in silver or gold.
"The introduction of coloured finishes such as Perspex Frost, Perspex Pearlescent and Perspex Fluorescent has prompted the Australian specifier market to ask for coloured mirror," Vic Kalloghlian, Managing Director of Allplastics, says.
The coloured mirror sheets are primarily intended for interior fittings for decorative displays, visual merchandising, bar fixtures, store design and wherever safety requires shatter resistant, lightweight panels, such as childcare centres, aged care facilities, sporting venues and washrooms.
According to Kalloghlian, "mirrored acrylic's impact resistance is around 17 times greater than that of glass". This makes it ideal for applications where safety is important, such as food and pharmaceutical plants, clubs and restaurants.
Allplastics Engineering also offers a full in house cutting, fabrication and CNC routing service.
