Allplastics Engineering supplies rigid PVC sheets, rods and tubes that have a good resistance to many chemicals including concentrated acids, alkalis and alcohols.
PVC products have a good mechanical strength and can be easily drilled, machined, milled and tapped. Laser cutting is not recommended on PVC sheets due to the fumes released; however CNC routing can be achieved with no fumes. PVC products have low moisture absorption (0.2%) and can be bonded to other surfaces by using general purpose epoxy resin.
Rigid PVC products from Allplastics Engineering are easy to bond and weld, are easily thermoformed and provide good electrical insulation.
PVC is extensively used in the manufacture of chemical tanks, chrome plating and photographic development dishes due to its anti-corrosive properties. Industrial PVC is generally grey in colour, however white PVC sheets are available in different thicknesses, as well as in red PVC rods.
Allplastics can supply clear PVC sheets and tubes for applications where transparency is important. Allplastics can also provide custom extrusions in PVC for large projects.
Rigid PVC products can service temperature from -15° to +60° and can be use in the following applications:
- Tank Linings
- Chemical apparatus
- Battery separators
- Pump parts
- Photographic development parts
The rigid PVC products are available as:
- Rod from 6mm Dia to 200mm Dia
- Sheet from 4.5mm thick to 50mm thick
- Welding rods round and triangular
