Allplastics Engineering supplies sheets, rods and tubes made from rigid PVC.
Rigid PVC offers superior resistance to several chemicals including concentrated acids, alkalis and alcohols. PVC has good mechanical strength and can be easily machined, drilled, milled or tapped.
Laser cutting is not recommended on PVC sheets due to the fumes released, however CNC routing can be achieved with no fumes.
Moisture absorption of PVC is low and the material can be bonded to other surfaces using general purpose epoxy resin.
Due to its anti-corrosive properties, rigid PVC sheets are extensively used in the manufacture of chemical tanks, chrome plating and photographic development dishes.
Industrial PVC is generally grey in colour but white PVC sheets are available in select thicknesses in addition to red PVC rods.
Allplastics can supply clear PVC sheets and tubes for applications that require transparency. Clear PVC sheets and tubes are commonly used for fume cupboards, chemical sight glasses and chemical tanks.
Allplastics can also provide custom extrusions in PVC for large projects.
