Wincomm sold in Australia by Allied Data Systems has released the WLP series industrial panel PC featuring fanless design and Intel Atom processor.
All the products are designed with a rugged metal enclosure as well as a fanless mechanism to provide quiet and reliable operation for rigid applications such as public information kiosks, point-of-information terminals, factory human machine interface control consoles and embedded in-wall-box touch stations.
To support the fanless operation for up to 40°C ambient temperature, Wincomm designed the product with the combination of a power-optimised computing platform and an effective heat dissipation mechanism.
Wincomm has adopted Intel’s latest ultra low voltage Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor and Mobile Intel 945GSE Express chipset with only 9 watts thermal design power (TDP) for the WLP series industrial panel PC.
The Atom N270 is implemented with 45nm process technology and Core-based micro-architecture as a power-optimised processor to deliver robust performance-per-watt.
For heat dissipation design, besides the rear cover all-round ventilation holes, internal head sinks are built for processor, chipset as well as memory and are extended for a direct thermal contact to an external fin-like aluminum rear cover plate for best cooling results.
