Represented by Allied Data Systems in Australia, Sealevel Systems have announced the release of the 7161e PCI Express 16 Channel serial board.

With data rates up to 460.8K bps, the 7161e PCI Express serial interface comes with sixteen RS-232 serial ports, with each port making use of all modem control signals for maximum compatibility with a variety of peripherals.

The PCI Express X1 compliant board employs 16C854 UARTs to provide 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs for supreme reliability in data intensive applications, and ships with two 36 cables that terminate to sixteen DB-9M connectors. The Choice of UARTs for custom baud rates and 9-bit protocols is optional when ordering.
