Meltron, represented in Australia by Allied Data Systems has launched the 2.5-inch SATA SSD S6PH series of flash disk storage devices.
The S6PH series SATA SSD from Meltron, an innovative industrial storage and module manufacturer delivers all the advantages of flash disk technology with Serial ATA II interface, fully compliant with standard 2.5-inch form factor.
It is based on a standard 7-pin interface for data segment and 15-pin for power segment, designed to operate at a maximum operating frequency of 150MHz with 30MHz external crystal.
In terms of performance, for SLC-based flash ICs SSD, its maximum read speed is up to 210MB per second and maximum write speed, up to 200MB per second.
For MLC-based flash ICs SSD, its maximum read speed is 210MB per second and maximum write speed is up to 150MB per second respectively. Capacity can range from 8GB up to 256GB.
The power consumption of flash disks is much lower than traditional hard drives. In addition, Meltron SSD provides hot-swapping abilities when removing, replacing or upgrading flash disks.
S6PH series SLC-based SSDs can operate normally in temperatures ranging from under -40 degrees up to +85 degrees.
Meltron has tested the S6PH series for shock and vibration. S6PH series devices have passed the strict vibration test at 20G acceleration (80~2000Hz) in addition to the rigorous 1500G (0.5ms) shock acceleration test.
