The 'Work safely in the construction industry' Whitecard course for NSW, WA and QLD delivered by Allens Training Pty Ltd is a unit of competency that specifies the outcomes required to undertake Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) induction training within the construction industry.
It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of OHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry.
The duration of the Whitecard course in all three states involves 7 hours of training including 6 hours of face-to-face training, 30 minutes of assessments and an integrated 30 minutes for lunch.
QLD and WA residents can complete the official training online and receive the same qualifications.
The course in all three states combines demonstration, oral questioning, role play, group scenario and written tests.
