ALFEX CNC and Haas will display a number of CNC machines at the Melbourne Austech 2005 show, including the EC-400 twin-pallet horizontal machining centre, the VM-3 Mould Maker vertical machining centre and the Super VF-2SS with five-axis trunnion table. The TL-2 CNC Toolroom Lathe and TM-1 CNC Toolroom Mill with intuitive programming will also be on display.
The EC-400 HMC is a T-base horizontal machining centre with a work cube of 508mm x 508mm x 508mm, a dual pallet changer with 400mm pallets and a full CNC rotary table. It is fitted with a 12,000 rpm, 40-taper spindle powered by 30 hp vector dual drive system, a high-volume coolant system, a triple-auger chip conveyor system and 40+1 tool ATC with 1.6 second tool change time.
The VM-3 Mould Maker is the latest in the company's new line of vertical machining centres for the die/mould industry. The VM-3 on display has a 12,000 rpm inline direct-drive spindle, Haas Visual QuickCode probing system for quick tool and workpiece setting, 20GB hard drive with Ethernet interface and a high-speed machining function with look ahead, an automatic air gun and a power failure detection module.
Haas has now expanded its line of Toolroom products with the new TL-2 Toolroom lathe, and TM-2 Toolroom mill with larger capacity and Haas' Intuitive Programming System software which makes for easy programming and operation without knowledge of G-code programming.
Alfex CNC/Haas will also display a range of Haas fourth and fifth-axis rotary tables. All machines on the Haas stand will be cutting metal.
Alfex CNC/Haas will be at stands B20 and A20 in the Austech Pavilion at National Manufacturing Week 2005, in Melbourne, May 10-13.
