INDUSTRIAL Scientific Corporation, represented by Air-Met Scientific, has enhanced its "dockable" GasBadge Pro single gas monitor with the introduction of a low hydrogen (H2) interference carbon monoxide (CO) sensor option.
This option provides a personal monitor for applications where the presence of hydrogen in the atmosphere normally produces inaccurate readings and nuisance false alarms.
The GasBadge Pro is designed to detect carbon monoxide in the range of 0-1,500 parts per million (ppm) and, with a simple calibration to a common standard of carbon monoxide gas, will produce accurate readings, without false alarms, in atmospheres containing hydrogen concentrations in excess of 750ppm.
GasBadge Pro can be quickly adapted with interchangeable "smart" sensors to monitor unsafe levels of oxygen or any one of the following toxic gases: ammonia, carbon monoxide, chlorine, chlorine dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, phosphine, and sulphur dioxide.
Each GasBadge Pro monitor carries a lifetime warranty and comes standard with STEL and TWA readings, datalogging of up to one year of survey data, and an event-logger that records the past 15 alarm events.
The monitor is compatible with the DS2 Docking Station and iNet Monitoring Service to further simplify and automate calibration, function (bump) testing, and data management.
The large, LCD display includes a backlight for clear visibility in low-light conditions, and international graphic symbols for easy operation.
The GasBadge Pro can be configured to display gas readings in percent by volume or in parts per million, and is capable of showing both gas type and direct gas readings, or just the gas type.
The instrument's four-button interface provides intuitive navigation and setup, which can be password-protected for added security.
