New range of reverse pulse jet cartridge dust collectors from Air Flow Technologies
Air Flow Technologies , one of Australia’s leading suppliers in sandblasting systems, dust collectors, spare parts and spray booths has launched its own range of reverse pulse jet cartridge dust collectors.
The new POLAIR dust collectors have a variety of advantages over other dust collectors including:
- POLAIR dust collection systems use fewer cartridges with the same amount of filter media offered by other systems. Standard filters are 660 mm in length and are sometimes double stacked (i.e. Torrit type systems) making the filter 1320mm long. It is a fact that reverse pulse cleaning can not pulse clean filter cartridges over a distance of more than 1000mm, which means that 30% of the filter is not cleaned, decreasing the air to media ratio after a short time. AFT filters are 915mm in length and have a sq/m area of 32 sq/m compared with 23 sq/m of a standard filter and are in most cases cheaper than standard filters.
- POLAIR Filters are top loaded and have a unique machined positive seal located on the underside of the cartridges. Opposite to Farr/Burwell type filters, the AFT type filters when pulsed compress the seal towards the internal tube plate hereby providing a perfect positive seal. AFT filters are also fitted with internal venturi entries to increase velocity during pulsing to boost cleaning of the cartridge filter.
- POLAIR Dust Collectors are top loaded with all dust collectors being fitted with safety hand railing. This is not an option it is standard supply. Personnel only need to access the clean side of the dust collector and due to the top clean air chamber being approximately 700mm deep and fitted with hand railing all personnel service work is performed in a safe, comfortable environment.
No special tools are required. POLAIR Dust collector filter cartridges are fitted by releasing a special TEE bolt lock down key and turning the cartridge approximately 30 degrees to release the filter.
