Air Flow Technologies installs blast room in the Hunter

Sandblasting Systems
Air Flow Technologies , one of Australia’s leading suppliers in sandblasting systems, dust collectors, spare parts and spray booths recently completed the installation of a 20m x 6.5m x 6.5m blast room at H & M Engineering and Construction in Rutherford, NSW.
The blast room was designed to allow H & M to move large items from their production area through to the blast room with the use of rail tracks and trolleys for blasting. The goods are then transported through the other side of their blast room into the paint area.
The blast room incorporates the new polyurethane sweeper blade floor system for full abrasive recovery and is also fitted with a pneumatic conveyor, top screen separator, 32 cartridge dust collector and rubber roll up doors at each end.
This is one of many blast rooms that Air Flow Technologies has designed, manufactured and installed over the past 3 years for a variety of different customers and their requirements.
AFT has also designed and manufactured several container blast rooms with a variety of different recovery options. This includes a recently installed container blast room at Schenk Australia in Thornton, NSW.
General Manager Peter Crouch said that “the blast room is something which needs to be designed around the customers needs and AFT is proud to have the engineering expertise to ensure each customer ends up with the blast room which is best suited to their requirements”.
