AGILENT Technologies has introduced Agilent's Advanced Design System (ADS) 2004A, a new version of its high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA) software that offers significantly improved ease-of-use and productivity for common circuit-design tasks.
ADS 2004A enables design engineers to easily access the functionality of ADS for common circuit-design tasks, including basic operations in schematic, simulation setup, linear simulation, tuning and viewing results.
High-frequency EDA software vendors typically are forced to make a trade-off between creating a product with depth and flexibility to accomplish challenging design tasks, and one that is easy to use but limited in its capabilities.
With ADS 2004A, this trade-off is not necessary.
Agilent's ADS offers a complete, front-to-back high-frequency design, simulation, layout and verification solution in a single, integrated design flow.
ADS 2004A offers many enhancements that improve productivity, including:
* A new tuning interface, which provides real-time interactive performance along with a dramatically improved user interface;
* Simulation performance enhancements that dramatically reduce the time from "simulation button down to displayed data up," which results in more efficient simulation that improves performance and productivity; and
* A new greeting dialog and schematic wizard, which simplify frequently performed schematic operations.
