AGILENT Technologies has announced that it has maintained its leadership in the printed circuit board (PCB) test and inspection industry, according to the 2003 market share study recently completed by Prime Research Group.
Agilent commands more than 34 percent of the global in-circuit test (ICT) market, 66 percent of the global automated x-ray inspection (AXI) market, and more than 19 percent of the global imaging inspection market (excluding Japan).
Agilent has been the market share leader in the in-circuit and imaging markets since 2000.
The study also shows that Agilent is the leader in the U.S. imaging inspection market. Although this market declined between 2002 and 2003, Agilent sales increased, giving the company a 26 percent market share -- 14 percent higher than its nearest competitor.
