The Korry Interactive Displays available from Aerospace and Defence Products provide customized, high-reliability control for displays, communications, and other systems.
These interactive displays feature an Integrated Up-Front Control Panel which consists of a 45x193 LED addressable matrix display with a data-entry panel, joystick, and four 16-position thumb wheels.
The display is a fully pixeled sea of diodes with full alphanumeric and graphics capability. The unit polls switch outputs via a processor I/O port, keeps track of switch positions, and transmits data across the RS-422 serial interface. A flash electrical erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) provides font and code storage. An accessible connector allows convenient on-board reprogramming.
The Control Display Unit of these interactive displays features switches, an LED light plate, and LED alpha-numeric displays. With an AT89C52 microprocessor and embedded software, it verifies and presents input data, monitors switch activation, transmits data to the host, and performs self testing. Functions are controlled through assembly routines using a simple looping structure.
