ADVANTECH 's PCM-9578 is a socket 370 SBC with the ability to accept Celeron or Pentium III/512K processors up to 1.26GHz, and supply three or four 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports.
The PCM-9578 can be used as a triple Ethernet firewall/DMZ device or a four Ethernet port device that allows centralised management of a secure virtual network, including firewall security and VPN's or PCI add-on cards for encryption acceleration.
The PCM-9587 is suitable for use in any network environment or in a stand-alone chassis supplied by Advantech. A PCI slot is available for hardware expansion. Eight general purpose input/outputs (GPIO) are also provided.
The PCM-9578 is a powerful, compact, full featured (5.75" x 8") SBC that can be used for many embedded applications.
An optional LAN3, LAN4 bypass function makes sure customer network connections are maintained even in the unlikely event of board failure.
As VGA/LCD is unnecessary for many network applications, these are optionally available. The COM port, allows administrators to connect a PC (console) for configuration.
Scalable Ethernet lets users pay only for the Ethernet capacity they need. Order triple or quadruple Intel 10/100Mbps 82559ER controllers.
The LAN3-LAN4 redirection function is managed via the serial port-connected PC console. The PCM-9578 offers GPIO support with eight bit general-purpose, programmable Input/Output control.
The PCM-9578 sports three fan connectors-one for the CPU fan, and two for system fans. A fan status LED connector is provided and the LED lights up in the case of fan failure.
