ADVANTECH has announced the PCM-3346, which compresses the functions of a standard, full-size PC into the form factor of an industry-standard PC/104 module.
Featuring on-board Ethernet and VGA/LCD, along with an embedded 486-based processor, the board can be the key for many function-intensive, space-critical PC-based embedded applications.
The PCM-3346 include on-board features such as a 486-class embedded PC (STPC DX66) and slots for both SO DIMM and Compact Flash cards.
The PCM-3346 supports VGA with up to 4MB shared memory. It offers an on-board LCD controller (C&T 69000), which supports 36-bit video and 2MB display memory on chip, as well as 10/100Base-T Ethernet. These additional features enable a host of embedded applications which require network or LCD panel support.
Besides the standard PCM-3346, Advantech also sells stripped-down versions with various combinations of the above features.
