Advantech , an industrial electronics provider, is planning to stage one of its worldwide “Solution Days” in Australia. The event will take place at the Stamford Grand, North Ryde on 23 June.
The day is one of many around the world aimed at showcasing the emerging technologies and market trends in single board computers (SBCs), industrial solutions and IT security. Visitors will have the opportunity to test and evaluate demonstration systems and attend presentations.
On show will be a range of industrial automation products that the company says “are greatly affecting the way manufacturing and services are delivered today”. For example, the company explains that industrial PC-based, HMI platforms with full SCADA capabilities integrated into LAN networks are fast becoming the means to communicate critical data between plant and management.
In addition, the company says that a key feature at this event will be its “Design-to-Orders Service” (DTOS). Now that Compact SOM & ETX form factor SBCs are the new emerging technologies in electronic board design DTOS provides an efficient, cost effective means for equipment manufactures to fast track product to market. Advantech says that by merging together either X86- or RISC-based processors with Linux or Windows Embedded products, CE.net and XP, the customer can have a powerful combination of low power consumption and high processing power with easy to use open programming platforms.
Other exhibits will include industrial computers, LCD kits, embedded systems, PC-104 modules, DAC I/O systems and Ethernet/serial/fibre communication products.
