ADVANTECH has released the AIMB-741 ATX industrial motherboard. It has a socket 478 Intel Pentium 4 processor up to 3.06GHz and an Intel 845E chipset.
The AIMB-741 provides multiple expansion options with five PCI, one AGP 4x for VGA cards and two ISA slots. The flexible expansion array allows older ISA cards and the latest PCI cards to be added without additional cost. The ATX form factor is compatible with commercial PC chassis and industrial-grade rack mounting enclosures.
The Intel 845E chipset supports up to 2GB of DDR memory with an error-correcting code(ECC) function that improves reliability as well as data integrity. The AIMB-741 has I/O capability with a maximum of up to six USB 2.0 ports. The dual-Intel 82551/82562 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller and the single-gigabit Intel 82541 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet controller maximise the network data throughput.
Backup of CMOS data is stored in the Flash memory to protect BIOS setup data after battery failure and/or BIOS failure. A 255-level watchdog timer ensures reliable operation in unattended environments. The CPU resets and generates an interrupt if a program fails to execute normally. The remote management interface enables AIMB-741 to be managed through the Internet when connected to the SNMP-1000 Remote HTTP/SNMP System Manager.
