Advantech has devoted resources to technological research and development for over 20 years, and the devotion has created specialised industrial computing know-how, as well as a diversity of software and hardware products, and solutions for successive innovative applications.
Advantech recently triumphed over many competitors in the Multi-Core Solution Contest to market the Advantech Digital Security Surveillance (DSS) concept with Intel. Advantech also won Intel Associate Partner of the Year, an accolade emblematic of Advantech’s status as one of Intel’s vital clients in the multi-core platform and embedded computer sector.
Intel Communications Alliance (ICA) constitutes software and hardware manufacturers of motherboards, systems and software. As a gatekeeper, Intel strictly reviews and screens applicants for quality, design, manufacturing capacity, and product service & support.
An ICA membership guarantees access to exclusive product updates and information on product positioning, reports and newsletters, as well as valuable firsthand product introduction tools and maintenance paraphernalia.
In addition to the Market Development Fund, ICA also promises active involvement in marketing campaigns for collaborative designs to bolster product visibility by providing marketing assistance and product manuals.
According to Advantech, it is a great honour for Advantech to be awarded Associate Partner of the Year by the Intel Communications Alliance; this attests to Advantech’s pioneering position in the global embedded computing market, and it signifies profound impact on the development of innovative technology.
Partnership between Advantech and Intel in the future would be defined by consensus and vision, and the two would forge a solid working relationship. Through closer working ties with ICA, Advantech now can enjoy immediate access to state-of-the-art technology from Intel.
Besides the golden opportunity to embark on research and development on the recent solutions far ahead of other competitors, new applications launched by Advantech can be publicised for greater visibility simultaneously as Intel introduces its recent chips and campaign activities. The cooperation ensures realistic applications.
In 2007, Advantech is to inaugurate a series of multi-core solutions to fit market demands for embedded single board computing projects: SOM COM-Express, MiniATX Motherboard, EPIC, 3.5" and 5.25" single board computers. For industrial computers, Advantech is to inaugurate Mini-ITX, Micro ATX, and fully featured ATX products with high-end product support for Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core and Core 2 Duo processors.
Lastly, Advantech is to release a fully featured industrial SHB Express (PICMG 1.3) single board computer, supporting a comprehensive platform development policy featuring Core 2 Duo. On top of this, Advantech plans to integrate its resources with those of Intel’s to set into motion the Digital Security Surveillance (DSS) initiative.
Whether it is technological backup from Intel, joint marketing campaigns for business project collaborations, or the formation of strategic partnerships with software suppliers or manufacturers, the two partners more than ever shall endeavour to introduce Intel’s new computing technology into a multitude of industrial applications, so that Advantech can apply these technologies to different fields.
The results: better understanding of customer demands for Intel, and stronger connections with Intel’s partners in the vertical market for Advantech.
